Berkeley’s Proteus Secure Information Management solution has just had a major upgrade that has been rolled out to the user community. The Enterprise Search capability has had substantial new capabilities added, ranging from automatic notifications about new content matching particular criteria through to the ability to save historic “snapshots” of searches for future reference. Proteus is now able to ingest XML-based content and automatically create content items from it, furthering the capability already in place to ingest emails and Mercury messages. There have also been some User Interface enhancements, including a new “lightbox” style of viewing content items that displays content, associated metadata and collaboration in a single view.
